A Typical Day at Desjardins Dog Care

At Desjardins Dog Care, we strive to provide every dog with a balanced daily routine that includes plenty of outdoor play, socialization, relaxation, and restorative rest. Here’s what a typical day looks like for our overnight boarding guests.

7:00–7:30 a.m. | Good Morning!

The day begins as dogs are released from their kennels and guided into their designated play areas. After a brief morning break, dogs return to their kennels for breakfast, allowing them to eat comfortably and separately from the other dogs. Once breakfast is finished, they head back out to their designated areas to enjoy the remainder of the morning.

12:00–3:00 p.m. | Midday Rest and Recharge

Around midday, all overnight boarding guests return to their kennels for a well-deserved afternoon nap. This dedicated rest period allows dogs to relax, recharge, and take a break from the excitement of the day.

Puppies under one year of age and senior dogs may receive additional rest periods tailored to their individual needs, ensuring they have the appropriate balance of activity and relaxation.

3:00–8:30 p.m. | Afternoon Play and Evening Wind-Down

After their midday rest, dogs are released back into their designated play areas, where they can spend the afternoon and evening enjoying outdoor time, exploring, relaxing, and socializing with their canine companions. At approximately 8:30 p.m., dogs return to their kennels for the night.

Plenty of Outdoor Time, Every Day!

On a typical day, our boarding guests enjoy approximately 8–10 hours outdoors in secure, fenced play areas, where they can roam freely within their designated spaces and interact with a small, carefully selected group of other dogs under supervision.

Our daily routine is designed to give your dog the opportunity to enjoy meaningful activity, appropriate socialization, and essential downtime in a comfortable, structured environment.
